Is the Golf Rules Dictionary accurate and complete?
Yes! It contains all the rules and most of the decisions of the R&A / USGA interpreting the rules. It is now in its 8th year and has been scrutinized many times by rules experts, professionals and hundreds of thousands of golfers around the world.

Is it just for good golfers?
Definitely not!! All golfers - from the youngest learners to the oldest professionals, male and female, MUST know the rules - that is one of the rules of golf - and this is the easiest book from which to understand them.

Why do I need the Golf Rules Dictionary as well as the little rules book given free by the R&A / USGA?
Because the Golf Rules Dictionary is easier to understand, colourful - and much more comprehensive - than the little rules book. Also, from 2004 the definition of "rules" has been changed to include all the decisions interpreting the rules, so you need to know these as well - and none of these can be found in the little book.

Is the book approved by the R&A / USGA?
The book is sold with the knowledge and approval of the R&A and USGA but they do not endorse the book or its contents, because commercially it competes with their books relating to the rules.

What if I don't like the book and want a refund?
If you bought it via this website, just return it to us in an undamaged condition and we will refund the purchase price. Only 5 copies have been returned in the past 8 years!!

If I have an old edition, do I need the new edition?
Unfortunately "Yes"!! The R&A considered the changes to the rule book introduced in 2004 as the most comprehensive revision in more than 20 years!!

Are there different editions for the UK/Europe and the USA?
No. The R&A and USGA standardized the rules in 2000 - except for the technical specifications applying to certain clubs like the oversized drivers.
